some of y’all: um you can’t like/sympathise with him tho, what if he’s “evil” like in the books??? even though that made zero sense and we’re perfectly happy to disregard bad book canon in other instances??? and we could just wait and see before denouncing him as “evil” because the show could give him a different plot line?? and could we even really call him “evil” just for not suppporting shadowhunters considering all the awful things they did to him??
