The show is in desperate need of ratings for this upcoming episode (11/20) or else it will get cancelled. The show was at .5 million viewers before last week, and with our promotion we managed to get 100,000 more viewers and bring it up to .6 million. But it’s still not enough. USA Network wants it to get to 1 million to avoid being cancelled so we really really need your help.

If you have been meaning to watch Eyewitness, or are even remotely interested, or have some free time on Sunday and don’t mind helping out - please tune in to Eyewitness on USA on Sunday, 11/20 at 10pm.

I cannot stress how much love this show deserves - it’s the show everyone has been asking for but not everyone is watching. The main characters of the show are two boys (Philip and Lukas) - who are a couple - and a strong woman in a powerful position (Helen). There are other beautiful women who are also in important positions, and they are ALL BEAUTIFUL WOC! The show also says a big FUCK YOU to gender norms as Helen and Gabe (Philip’s foster parents) have reversed familial roles - with Helen the one having trouble connecting to Philip while Gabe is typically the one who is more nurturing towards him. It deals with important issues like drug addiction, PTSD, internalized homophobia, and the repurcussions of all of these issues on loved ones.

It’s not just a love story, it’s also has an intense crime/murder investigation plot going on and everything is connected in an complicated, but intriguing way. Majority of the actors are also brand new actors so this is their first big break! They desperately want to see the show continue, and they definitely deserve it! We all thought we were safe after increase the views this past episode, but we found out that it’s not enough. Here’s the post from one of the leads:

You guys made a HUGE difference last week and the network noticed and kept us on the air but now they need to see us surpass a MILLION viewers on traceable devices this Sunday for Episode 6 of #Eyewitness It hurts me to hear that this special show isn’t getting the ratings it deserves but I know that no matter what we have already succeeded because of YOU - all the incredible people that care about this special project and all the supportive individuals I’ve seen coming together as a community through this. The sad and unfortunate reality is that so much of this world still has prejudice against the LGBTQ community and would rather not watch a kickass crime thriller just because there’s a love story between two boys at the forefront. That is exactly why we need to push with everything we’ve got to try and get these viewers up and the message that LOVE IS LOVE NO MATTER WHAT. If you guys can get another ten people you know to watch the show I have faith we’ll be ok, but no matter what, like I said, I believe we have already succeeded in touching the people we have and I am forever thankful - and eternally honored to know@tyler.matthew.young - my brother and inspiration. I almost want to cry just thinking about this show being cancelled because it’s one of my favorites and I know it means so much to so many people. I reached out to USA to ask more questions about how they’re determining their ratings and how international fans can make a larger difference. I’ll update this post as I go along. Please please please spread the word that this show is in danger and will get cancelled if we don’t get more views. Please help us keep this show!!
