hey so i just wanna say that if your mental illness(es) make it hard to shower, or clean your room, or brush your hair, or brush your teeth, or take out the garbage, or do the laundry, or eat well, or exercise, or maintain a healthy sleep schedule, or do any other regular habit expected of independent individuals, you are NOT gross or lazy or pathetic! you are trying your best and while these are very important things that we should all strive for, if you aren’t fully able to do all of these as much as you wish you could, it is not your fault and anyone who judges or shames you is not treating you with the compassion and understanding you deserve.

you deserve people in your life who support you in improving yourself and genuinely help you face your challenges. and you deserve to treat yourself with kindness and understanding.
